Career

I’ve been a designer for 25+ years, starting with Graphic Design, then to Web Design. During that time I freelanced full-time for 4 years working on various print and web projects for small business clients. I learned to wear many hats.

For the last 13 years I’ve been doing UX / Product Design. I’ve worked at start-ups and a Fortune 100 company.

I’m a product designer with a strategic mindset.

  • I think in systems and structures. This is why I lean heavily on systems like Information architecture and OOUx. I’m a certified Object Oriented UX (OOUX) Strategist.
  • I’m a big picture thinker, zooming out from a wide view, then zoom back into the tactical details.
  • Some of the favorite parts of my job have been collaboration and mentoring. Helping out less experienced designers, pushing the design in directions that haven’t been thought of. I love working with a design team to create an amazing outcome.
